Hey everybody! I am alive..... life has just gotten in the way! No really some of it is just being lazy I suppose! But summer has been busy......
One thing keeping me busy is a new workout routine! Steve has decided that we as a family are going to do the Fort 4 Fitness this year!!! So, a 4 mile run/walk on September 26. Back around 5 weeks ago, I started (we all did) a running program called Couch to 5K - designed to take a couch potato and have them ready to run a 5k in 9 weeks.... I am on week 5. I do enjoy it... just sometimes hard to get moving because I usually do my workout after I put Piper down to bed so it's usually sometime between 8:45 and after 9 before I start. But that is also a nice end to the day. Thank goodness for our pool. It's great to come home after the workout and cool off!
Piper started swimming lessons this week. That has been interesting. We have them Tues-Friday for this week and next week. They are at 6:05 so it really puts a rush on us to get home and get some supper. But it has made the week go fast.
Ashley and Riley are at our house for our 1/2 of summer. It's been interesting. The first 2 weeks are usually the roughest ones.... just when we get our schedules and mojo working - they leave to go back to their mom's house. That sucks! It takes them awhile to get use to everyday living at our house.... we have alittle different rules and house procedures then they do at their mom's house.
This summer our family made a "bucket list" of summer things we wanted to do. I explained to the kids that it's stuff we would like to do this summer although we may not get to everything. We actually have quite a few things checked off the list.... and still some fun things to do yet! We have gone to the Paramore/No Doubt concert, been go carting, played putt putt, went to the old Zesto's downtown for ice cream! Lots of fun things! I bought a membership to the Ft. Wayne Zoo this summer. We have been 5 times already! It's great. We just go over for an hour here or there. Kinda nice to live close that way we can run over and just do one section and go home! Beats having to do it all in one day with a cranky kid!!!
